Arwen (18) is immature and says harsh and cruel things without thinking how it'll affect the recipient of her words (i.e. I'm going to use bullet points to hopefully keep this as short as possible.ฤก. Once Arwen gets to the palace, that's when shit hits the fan for me. The King is now 21 and the wife died a year ago. His wife died in childbirth after already having 3 miscarriages (so the math is 4 babies lost). The premise of the story started out somewhat strong: the King has recently become a widower and is in need of a wife who can carry his children to term and deliver them safely (bc of course the magic in the kingdom is dying and only having babies will kickstart it again) so he is going around the villages in his kingdom searching for powerful women. I'm normally not mean in reviews but oh my god I don't think I'll be able to rein myself in on this one. maybe skip this review because I am about to rip it to shreds. If you are the author or someone who really enjoyed this book. Spice 0/5 (a few kisses and 1 very unfulfilling wedding night complete with a heavy purity culture inner monologue, no foreplay, and FMC doesn't even come - which honestly go hand in hand so I guess that checks out)
